I spun her around, grabbed my tie from the desk and bound her wrists tightly behind her back. I began to move her toward the windows, intent on fucking her while she looked down at the beauty of the neon lights of my city. Before I could move her two steps from the desk, she looked over her shoulder at me, eyes heavy-lidded and burning with intensity.
“Don’t forget the belt,” she growled in the sexiest voice on earth.

I nearly burst into flames. Just when I thought my dick couldn’t possibly get any harder, she’d gone and asked for the belt. I’d be lucky to still have a dick when this was all over. Though I was intent on being the one in charge of this situation, I wasn’t about to back off from a challenge like that. I swiped the belt off the desk, buckle making an ominous sound as it scraped across the glass.
I looped it in my hand and slapped Alexis sharply, but not too sharply, across her delicious, heart-shaped ass.
“Move toward the window,” I ground out through clenched teeth, giving her a gentle nudge forward. She hesitantly took a few steps forward as I shuffled along behind her, my hand still holding her wrists and my pants around my ankles. Together, we moved as swiftly as we could.
Once we reached the window, I gently pushed the back of her head until her forehead was against the glass. I smoothed a hand over where I’d hit her with the belt, imagining I’d left a pretty pink strap mark on her pale skin.
“Keep your eyes looking down at the street below,” I instructed, knowing the sheer drop from so high up would give her a false sense of physical danger. I wanted to wring every possible emotion I could from her. Lust, energy, excitement, fear—I wanted it all. I wanted her to feel my power pouring over her until she was drowning with it.
I snapped the belt against her ass one more time before gently looping it around her neck. Holding the ends together in one hand like reins, I slightly pulled back, making her back arch, hiking that juicy ass higher. I wasn’t trying to choke her, merely control her body.
I plunged my fingers into her core again, knowing what I’d find—slick, succulent flesh just quivering for my cock. I wasn’t going to deny either of us any longer. Taking myself in hand, I guided my cock toward her center, then drove in with one mighty push. There was nothing gentle about it, and it echoed in her cry.
I didn’t waste time, pounding at her pussy relentlessly. The temptation to simply stand there, sheathed in her softness had been strong, but my beast needed to rut into her more. Over and over, I hammered away at her as I gripped her wrists with one hand and the belt with the other, her grunts and growls causing my lust to spike.
Tugging harder on the belt, I watched her body begin to shake. She was getting close, but I still wasn’t going to let her drop.
“You. Will. Not. Run. Again,” I said, biting off each word harshly. “This body? It’s mine. You need to know that. This gorgeous blonde hair? That’s mine. Those big blue eyes? Yep, mine too. And most of all? This sweet, phenomenal pussy belongs to me… and only me.”
I felt her shiver, but this was Alexis. If I’d thought she’d cower under my dominance, we wouldn’t be having the primal fuck we were having right now.
“You're goddamned right it is, and you know what?” she spit back at me. “It’s the best pussy you’re ever going to have. Enjoy it while it’s yours, Kent because you will never find another like it.”
Fuck me, she was my match—in every possible way. I was hanging on by a frayed string, my tight control so close to snapping, but I couldn’t let her have the last word. I kicked her legs wider apart, dropped the belt and released her hands. Then I really started fucking the hell out of her. I meant to keep her from walking the next day, I was hitting it so hard.
As soon as her hands were unbound, she defied my orders and twisted her torso away from the window. She grasped my hip, her long red nails digging into my skin as she bounced her ass back against me just as hard. She was moaning uncontrollably, harsh stuttering cries with each animal thrust. Finally, when I was about to lose my grip, I reached around between her thighs and stroked a fingertip lightly over her clit. I merely grazed it with the pad, and she detonated. Screaming and reaching back, she slashed her fingernails across my chest like claws. The sting sent me catapulting over the cliff, my climax shooting out of me in hot, rapid spurts. I felt myself straining to remain standing as the pleasure bathed me head to toe, shaking me to my core.
Alexis shuddered and cried, her body jerking against mine, her sweetness spasming around me, milking every ounce of my essence from my balls. I wouldn’t have been surprised to discover them shriveled and as tiny as raisins in the morning, but it’d be worth it after an orgasm of this magnitude. I knew with just the right look from her, they’d swell to epic proportions again.
I all but collapsed onto her back, my breathing harsh and heavy. I could still hear the sounds of our lovemaking in my ears—the wanton cries, the vicious slapping of our bodies together. I could smell the scent of it in the air around us. Never had I felt so consumed by a woman in my entire life. Marguerite faded entirely from my mind, replaced by the goddess beneath me. I’d meant it when I said she was mine. There was no going back from this, only forward.

Kent lifted himself off my back and hauled me, dazed as I was, over to the long sofa that sat against the far wall in the office. I flopped down, completely spent. I’d devoted years of my life to fantastic fucking and amazing orgasms, but Kent had just blown everything I’d ever seen, felt, and done right out of the water. The man was everything any woman could ever want. Sure, he was sexy as fuck, and now I knew he was a goddamned machine, but I’d suspected that all along. I’d seen beneath the surface tonight though. Not just with the story about his ex-fiancée and how she broke his heart, but with the generosity he’d shown with his business proposal. Yes, he stood to gain from it in the long run, but he was willing to take a chance on a small, fledgling company and one author he hardly knew. The man was special, and fuck me if I didn’t want him for my own. It was a good thing he’d claimed me and made his mark because I might have debased myself and become like any other number of women who probably begged for him.
I’d never been one for cuddling, but I curled into his side, my fingers tracing over the outline of a tattoo I could barely make out in the moonlight. It was a crown decorating his right side, just below his pectoral. How fitting, I thought. A crown for the King.
He laid back, pulling me down onto his chest, my whole limp body draped over his. I kicked off my shoes to a weak cry of complaint from him.
“I need to take them off, Kent, or I’ll gouge us both in our sleep. Don’t worry, I’ll put them back on in the morning,” I said with a yawn.
“You promise?” he mumbled sleepily.
“Cross my cold, dead heart,” I replied to his soundless chuckle before succumbing to my sheer exhaustion.
I was jolted awake by the harsh sound of a voice coming from the doorway.
“For fuck’s sake, Kent. Can’t you keep your women hidden away in your suite like a normal man?”
A tall, willowy woman stood in the doorway. She was pretty with long brown hair pulled back in a tight ponytail, a pointed, slightly upturned nose, and full berry-colored lips. She was also looking at me in disgust. Fuck this bitch, I thought. I’ll show her.
I sat up, pushing off Kent’s chest—who was looking around like he didn’t know where he was—and slipped on my shoes. Then I stood up to my full height, bare-assed, and gave her my best resting bitch face. I slowly sauntered over the desk and bent to pick up Kent’s suit jacket. I leisurely slipped it on and buttoned it at the waist. It wasn’t a fashion statement, and being perfectly honest, I wasn’t looking forward to traipsing across the casino floor in it to get to my wing of the hotel, but I’d be damned if I’d let anyone think I was less than proud of myself. If I was going to do the walk of shame—and at this point, that was a certainty—it was going to be n
othing short of impressive.
I grabbed my clutch from the chair where I’d left it and turned to Kent, smoothing my hair.
“Thanks for everything,” I said tartly. “I’ll make sure Andrea is in touch with you about the next steps.” I brushed past the disdainful mystery woman and made my way to the open elevator doors.
As soon as I was inside, I sagged against the wall. I didn’t know if the woman was his most recent one-night stand or if she was his secretary. All I knew was I needed to get away. I didn’t have a blueprint for how to handle a woman barging in while I was passed out in post-coital bliss from the fuck to end all fucks.
I steeled myself when the doors opened and confidently strode out into the bustling casino. I kept my head held high but didn’t make eye contact with anyone. I wondered if anyone recognized me as the woman who’d left the ladies room with a man the day before. Everyone probably thinks I’m a prostitute. It was perfect timing really because right then, just before I made it to the other bank of elevators on the opposite side of the casino, a security guard fell into step beside me.
“You need to come with me, Miss,” he said quietly, putting his hand on my back and leading me away from my last shot at saving my dignity.
I didn’t say a word, simply followed his lead to the doors marked “Security Personnel Only” on the other side of the lobby.
The officer, whose nametag read Andre, was strong and fit with a shaved head, smooth skin that reminded me of the creamiest milk chocolate, and striking hazel eyes. He looked at me disapprovingly, but I noticed his gaze kept drifting down to the floor. I didn’t know if he disapproved of me being in the hotel, was uncomfortable with my scandalous attire, or if he also had a thing for the shoes. It didn’t really matter because we didn’t do much talking.
“Take a seat,” he instructed me, waving a hand toward a chair at the back of the small control room.
“If it’s all the same to you, I’ll stand, thanks.” He gave me a warning stare, but I was mindful of sitting my bare, rather well-used backside on a vinyl chair. I simply waved a hand over the front of me, trying to communicate me taking that seat wasn’t in anyone’s best interest. I saw the realization dawn in his eyes, and he gave me a quick nod. He spun a chair at one of the stations, sat down leaned back, lacing his fingers behind his head. He didn’t look in a hurry to do anything, he just kept his eyes on me.
“Well,” I finally spoke up. “Aren’t you going to call the cops or something?”
“Not yet,” he replied calmly. “We’re waiting for the boss to show up. I radioed him when I spotted you. He prefers to handle your kind.”
“What do you mean by that?” I asked tartly. I may have looked like a prostitute, but I wasn’t going to let anyone treat me like shit. Just then, the door opened, and Jasper strolled in.
“So, what have we got here, Andre?” he said before turning to look at me.
“Some hooker I found trying to get up to the guest rooms,” he replied as though half-clad women were prancing through the lobby on the daily. Then again, it was Vegas, so they probably did.
Finally, Jasper turned to me. His eyes landed on mine, and he smiled, trying to hold back a laugh. He let them drift down my near-naked form, then landed on my shoes. He coughed loudly, then pulling at the neck of his shirt, darted them back to my face. He grabbed one of the other rolling chairs from the control area and pushed it toward me.
“Hey, Reina. Take a load off while we chat,” he said, his amusement lacing his voice.
“Trust me, Jasper, you don’t want me to do that.”
His brows rose as his jaw dropped open a bit. He nodded curtly as well, then sat in the chair himself. My feet were beginning to hurt from all the standing, so I lifted a leg behind me, one at a time and pulled my shoes off, gripping them by their heels in one hand while my other hand was occupied with my clutch purse. I watched Jasper’s face crease in disappointment.
“Sorry, they’re made for looks, not comfort.”
“Well, they certainly achieve their goal,” he said, his voice a little higher than usual. If I got out of this unscathed, I was either going to throw away all my stilettos, or I was going to buy at least twenty-seven more pairs. The shoes might very well have been the cause of this whole nightmare, but it might also have been the source of the amazing night I’d had before.
“Though I’m curious to know what put you in the middle of my casino floor, looking like you do, my brother’s jacket draped around you gives me something of an idea. What I don’t understand is why,” Jasper said quizzically.
“My dress met an untimely end last night, then we were rudely awakened by someone else. With few options, I improvised and got the hell out of there.”
“Oh, no. Who was it?”
“I have no idea, nor do I care to know. I just want to get back to my room, take a shower, and pack up for my flight home. Would that be asking too much?”
“No, of course not,” he said as he stood. “I just can’t let you walk through my hotel looking like that though. I can scrounge up one of the hotel uniforms, or I can go to your room and grab something for you.”
“Whatever puts me on the path back to my room the quickest is fine with me.”
With that, Jasper held up a finger and stepped into a small cubicle on the far side of the room. He returned with a pair of giant orange coveralls.
“You make your maintenance staff look like inmates?” I said incredulously.
“No, they’re for the staff who work in the garage where they service the shuttles that take guests up and down the strip. I’m not even sure why it’s in here, but it’s all I have. If you’d prefer I’ll run over to the wardrobe department, I can get you one of the server uniforms,” he offered.
“No, this will be fine. I don’t suppose you have somewhere I can change?”
He motioned toward the cubicle he’d taken the coveralls from. It was just high enough to obscure me if I hunched over. I took the clothes from his hand and sauntered into the space. Both Jasper and Andre were gentlemen enough to turn their backs, their attention on the video screens.
After struggling into the coveralls that were about eight sizes too large, I really did look like an inmate. I rolled up the legs on the lower half so I wouldn’t trip, the sleeves dangling when I dropped my arms down as I put my shoes back on.
Leaving Kent’s suit jacket on the desk, I grieved the loss of his scent surrounding me. I could still faintly smell his cologne on my skin, but it was stronger on his jacket and reminded me of being in his arms when our night ended. I didn’t know where things were headed after being caught by whoever that woman was, all I knew was I needed to put some distance between us. I’d gotten caught up in the moment last night, my emotions were all over the place, and I desperately needed time and space to figure everything out. My heart throbbed softly, a gentle reminder of what it wanted, but I needed to think. I couldn’t let it make my decisions for me.
I walked out and cleared my throat. Jasper turned back around, his eyes yet again falling to my feet.
“Damn, Reina. I don’t know what it is about those things, but they even make those work clothes look good.”
“Get over the damned shoes, Jas. Can I go to my room now?” I asked impatiently. His eyes returned to mine, and his face softened in sympathy.
“Sure. Let me escort you there,” he said, waving his hand toward the door, and my escape route.

By the time I got the brain fog cleared from my head after being jarred awake from a deep sleep, Alexis was already walking out the door. I glared daggers at my sister for just barging in on us.
“Fuck, Tallulah, haven’t you ever heard of knocking?” I asked angrily as I groped for my pants which I’d kicked aside before we’d collapsed on the sofa the night before.
“First, the door was open. Second, this is your office. Why would I expect that you’d be doing anything other than working?” she said, turning her back
as I stood to do up my trousers.
I had no witty comeback, so I just crossed the room and walked behind my desk. Reaching into the black case atop it, I pulled out a cigarette and lit it. I inhaled deeply as Tallulah turned back around.
“You’re smoking? I thought you gave that up a long time ago,” she said, fanning her face before the smoke could even drift her way.
“I did. I have one now and then, usually when I get stressed out. Since you’ve just scared off the one woman I really wanted to stay, I’m a little wound up. What the fuck do you want?” I said, taking another long pull on the cancer stick.
“I brought some swatches for the new carpeting I want to put in the guest rooms. I was hoping you’d take a look to see if you approve. When I couldn’t get you in your suite or on your cell phone, I came up here to leave them on your desk. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d find you bare-assed naked tangled up with some slut in here.”
“You’d better walk that back right now. She’s not a slut,” I cautioned, feeling my temper rise at her calling Alexis a slut.
“Kent, you don’t go for any other kind of woman,” she sneered. “If she’s half-way attractive, willing to spread her legs, and has a pulse, you can’t say no.”
“Christ, Al, is that really what you think of me?” Sure, I hadn’t been overly choosy when it came to sex partners, but I wanted to think I had higher standards than that. She just shrugged her shoulders and smiled.
“It’s just how it is. If this one is special, then why aren’t you running after her?”
I took a few more puffs on my cigarette as I thought about the snarl of feelings tightening inside me.
“It’s complicated,” I began. “She… she affects me in a way I’m not used to.”
